Woodland Creatures

Even though we don’t live in the county, spring time always means a resurgence of woodland creatures in our neighborhood. We’ve got robins and cardinals, chipmunks, bunnies and squirrels. Lately some ducks have taken a liking to our backyard, and thankfully, we haven’t seen any coyotes lately. This little toad was a new animal to appear and even Skyler wasn’t sure what to make of it. So she did what she does best and barked at it until I came and removed him from the yard. (Taking him to a slightly more wooded area with a creek across the street.) April 2009.
