Over Christmas, we got to make another trip to San Francisco to visit my brother and his family. Here is a shot of my nephew, Adam, in a moment of calm during his nightly pre-bedtime run-around routine.

Inches

We got our first big snow of the year this weekend. Skyler loved it, while Jack didn’t seem to notice much.

Golden Gate

It is always a treat to take a long weekend to visit family in California. In addition to hanging out with the little guy, we also made a trip into the city of San Francisco to go to the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market and see the usual tourist sites.

Scarfing In Style

My friend and co-worker Mandy was nice enough to make me one of these very stylish scarves — perfect for the approaching fall weather. How stylish are they? Stylish enough to be selling online for a whopping $275.00.

Twenty Eight

We celebrated Andy’s birthday last night by going to one of our favorite places to eat — The Broad Ripple Brewpub. Not to be confused with our other favorite Broad Ripple destination.

Answering Machine

Matt Nathanson played at the Music Mill last night and, as usual, put on a great show. He originally hadn’t planned on stopping in Indy, but we are so glad he did.

Carmel Arts

Last week I ate only local foods so it only seemed fitting that over the weekend I should support local artists. As you can see from the photo above, the turnout at the Carmel International Arts Festival was fantastic.

Going Local

Starting today, I will be taking part in the Eat Local Challenge, and for one week, will only be eating foods that are harvested within a 100 mile radius of my home. I’ll be posting about the challenge on Green-Lemonade.com.

Meanwhile, Andy will be not be taking part in the challenge because he will be in India on business.
